Hello there

So I thought I'd make a blog so you can get to know me on a more personal level, after all, you need to feel completely comfortable with your photographer.

I'm married to an amazing man who supports me and all that I want to do in life, we went to high school together and I had a crush on him in year 7! We didn't fall in love till after school and although we are so different in so many ways, somehow, we are perfect together, Yin & Yang. We have a beautiful little boy, who has a smile that brightens the world and a wonderful boxer dog who just wants to be with us at all times. I have an amazing family and wonderful friends, all of whom I would do anything for and who I couldn't live without.

My passion in life (other than my family and friends) is my photography. I feel so privileged to be able to work in the industry I love so much and even more privileged to be chosen to take your photos and be a part of your special occasions. My passion for photography started when I was 16 and my Dad and I use to set up a dark room together. He taught me all about how a camera works and we had so much fun experimenting in the dark room that it soon became my passion and my career goal.

After high school I completed a BA in Photography at Charles Sturt University in Albury. In the 3 years I was at uni I learnt so much and I left uni more determined than ever to follow my dreams. One thing was certain, I wanted to take portrait photos, I loved getting to know a person through the lens of a camera and wanted to create natural, fun photos. I took my first wedding photos while at uni and slowly did more weddings through word of mouth. Nothing made me happier than photographing a wedding or doing a portrait photo shoot. After one wedding I came home on cloud nine, I hadn't been so happy in a long time and it was my husband that encouraged me to start a web site, advertise and really make a go of having my own business. Now here I am, still on cloud nine after every photo shoot and still loving what I do. The dark room in the laundry with my Dad is gone but my passion has only grown.

So some general trivia about me other than my passion for what I do - I love with all my heart, I love to watch a good chick flick with my girls, my favourite chocolates are malteesers and I love Italian food. I love summer for swimming and winter for skiing. I love to cuddle! Beautiful shoes and boots are my fashion weakness. My favourite sound in the world, is the sound of my son laughing, it brings a smile to my face and makes my heart leap. I'm at my happiest, the real me, with a camera in my hand or spending time with my loved ones (both is even better!)

Now you know a little more about me, feel free to say hi, I'd love to know more about you too, after all, it helps me take a photo that reflects the true you.

Jodi & Brad - 4th November 2010

Jodi & Brad, what a sweet couple. I've been lucky enough to know Jodi's family for many years but have never really gotten to know Brad very well. I now know one thing for sure, he loves Jodi and his two boys very much. Jodi & Brad where high school sweethearts and now have two beautiful little boys together. I had a great day with them, watching how sweet they are together and how they make each other laugh. Thanks guys for a wonderful day and the honour of being your photographer. I know you'll have a wonderful life together.

Danica & Mark - 28th November 2010

Danica & Mark, what a fantastic couple. I had so much fun with them, it was a rainy day which meant their outdoor wedding became an indoor wedding, but they still braved the rain for every single photo - only taking shelter under umbrellas! Danica's train on her dress was soaking but she was such a great sport about it. Those flowers where amazing and the colours of the flowers, the bridesmaid dresses and the groomsmans shirts all went together so well. The best of the day was the people though, Danica & Mark and their bridal party are wonderful people, so relaxed and laid back with a wonderful sense of humour. I had a really great day and feel blessed to have been part of their wedding day.
Thank you Danice & Mark. -xox-

The photo to the far left I had to lie on my tummy for - did I mention the rain? I was soaked but so worth it.

These cars where beautiful! And the drivers where great, quickly drying off the cars for photos. Thanks guys.

Thanks guys for a fabulous day and all the best for a wonderful future together.

Laura & Peter - 27th November 2010

What a fun day I had with Laura & Peter. The sun was shining for one of the only Saturdays in ages and we had a blast together. They had a fantastic stretch hummer and the bridal party where so much fun. The ceremony was infront of the Lagoon restaurant and was really beautiful. Laura & Peter have 2 beautiful little boys and are clearly devoted to each other and their family, such a wonderful family. Their youngest kept running up and hugging Peter's legs throughout the ceremony - so cute!
Thanks Laura & Peter for such a wonderful day and the honour of photographing your wedding.

Chloe & Luke - 20th November 2010

The fantastic Aleah's Lens photographer, Jodie Ponder went out to photograph Chloe and Luke's Wedding at Ravensthorpe and had a great time. Chloe looked amazing and Luke looked pretty hansom as well. It sounds and looks like it was a beautiful wedding and I know Chloe and Luke are just wonderful people from the few times I've had the pleasure to meet them. Thanks for having Aleah's Lens at your wedding, we are truley honoured. -xox-

Amanda & Joshua - 20th November 2010

Amanda & Joshua, what a sweet couple. They fit together so well, the way they make each other laugh and the way they care so deeply for each other. I saw Josh mouth "Wow" when Amanda got to the front of the church isle - so sweet! The ceremony was at the lovely Catholic Church in Jamberoo, we then went for a few shots in Jamberoo at the park nearby and then headed into Wollongong for some quick photos at Wollongong University where Amanda has recently finished studying to become a teacher. Then we raced to the portifino for a night of dancing and fun. Thanks Amanda and Josh for the chance to be a part of your fantastic day.

They had a bridal party full of family which was lovely, one of Amanda's brothers, her two sister in laws and her beautiful nieces and nephews. Such a beautiful, family orientated wedding.

Amanda was so organised she even took bread so the kids could feed the ducks.

I got myself into an interesting spot for this shot and all Amanda & Josh had to do was be themselves as they where more than happy to look at each other and think about how lucky they are. Such a beautiful couple.
