Hello there

So I thought I'd make a blog so you can get to know me on a more personal level, after all, you need to feel completely comfortable with your photographer.

I'm married to an amazing man who supports me and all that I want to do in life, we went to high school together and I had a crush on him in year 7! We didn't fall in love till after school and although we are so different in so many ways, somehow, we are perfect together, Yin & Yang. We have a beautiful little boy, who has a smile that brightens the world and a wonderful boxer dog who just wants to be with us at all times. I have an amazing family and wonderful friends, all of whom I would do anything for and who I couldn't live without.

My passion in life (other than my family and friends) is my photography. I feel so privileged to be able to work in the industry I love so much and even more privileged to be chosen to take your photos and be a part of your special occasions. My passion for photography started when I was 16 and my Dad and I use to set up a dark room together. He taught me all about how a camera works and we had so much fun experimenting in the dark room that it soon became my passion and my career goal.

After high school I completed a BA in Photography at Charles Sturt University in Albury. In the 3 years I was at uni I learnt so much and I left uni more determined than ever to follow my dreams. One thing was certain, I wanted to take portrait photos, I loved getting to know a person through the lens of a camera and wanted to create natural, fun photos. I took my first wedding photos while at uni and slowly did more weddings through word of mouth. Nothing made me happier than photographing a wedding or doing a portrait photo shoot. After one wedding I came home on cloud nine, I hadn't been so happy in a long time and it was my husband that encouraged me to start a web site, advertise and really make a go of having my own business. Now here I am, still on cloud nine after every photo shoot and still loving what I do. The dark room in the laundry with my Dad is gone but my passion has only grown.

So some general trivia about me other than my passion for what I do - I love with all my heart, I love to watch a good chick flick with my girls, my favourite chocolates are malteesers and I love Italian food. I love summer for swimming and winter for skiing. I love to cuddle! Beautiful shoes and boots are my fashion weakness. My favourite sound in the world, is the sound of my son laughing, it brings a smile to my face and makes my heart leap. I'm at my happiest, the real me, with a camera in my hand or spending time with my loved ones (both is even better!)

Now you know a little more about me, feel free to say hi, I'd love to know more about you too, after all, it helps me take a photo that reflects the true you.

Chloe & Luke - 20th November 2010

The fantastic Aleah's Lens photographer, Jodie Ponder went out to photograph Chloe and Luke's Wedding at Ravensthorpe and had a great time. Chloe looked amazing and Luke looked pretty hansom as well. It sounds and looks like it was a beautiful wedding and I know Chloe and Luke are just wonderful people from the few times I've had the pleasure to meet them. Thanks for having Aleah's Lens at your wedding, we are truley honoured. -xox-

Amanda & Joshua - 20th November 2010

Amanda & Joshua, what a sweet couple. They fit together so well, the way they make each other laugh and the way they care so deeply for each other. I saw Josh mouth "Wow" when Amanda got to the front of the church isle - so sweet! The ceremony was at the lovely Catholic Church in Jamberoo, we then went for a few shots in Jamberoo at the park nearby and then headed into Wollongong for some quick photos at Wollongong University where Amanda has recently finished studying to become a teacher. Then we raced to the portifino for a night of dancing and fun. Thanks Amanda and Josh for the chance to be a part of your fantastic day.

They had a bridal party full of family which was lovely, one of Amanda's brothers, her two sister in laws and her beautiful nieces and nephews. Such a beautiful, family orientated wedding.

Amanda was so organised she even took bread so the kids could feed the ducks.

I got myself into an interesting spot for this shot and all Amanda & Josh had to do was be themselves as they where more than happy to look at each other and think about how lucky they are. Such a beautiful couple.

Sascha & Jaycob - 6th November 2010

Nothing could stop this beautiful couple getting married - not even the bad weather. After a call 45minutes before the outdoor ceremony to say it was raining, the bad weather blew over - at least for a big enough window to dry everything off and have a beautiful ceremony. Sascha looked stunning and Jaycob couldn't keep the smile off his face as she walked down the isle. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun together. I enjoyed watching how wonderful Sascha and Jaycob are together and loved listening to the story of how their parents did the match making - a match made in heaven. Thanks guys for a wonderful day. xox

Sascha looked absolutely stunning!

The guys didn't scrub up too bad either.

The ceremony was at Glastonbury Gardens in Austinmer and it was just beautiful. Then we quickly headed to Market Square in search of some shelter but the rain had already subsided.

Sascha found this great place in Mt Keira - it was just beautiful.

We took a break from the reception for a few quick more photos out in the dark. I love this shot because Jaycob just gave her this cute kiss on the head and I finally had the light right too.

Thanks for a wonderful day Sascha & Jaycob.

Nicole & Chris - 31st October 2010

Wow! What a great day I had with Nicole & Chris, they are such a wonderful couple. They are both such happy, fun people and they clearly love each other very much. Chris even got a tear in his eye when Nicole walked down the isle. Nicole was happy to do anything and so we had lots of fun. We went to my favourite farm and got some great photos, even the horses wanted to be in the photos. Nicole & Chris, it was truely and honour to be your photographer, you are both wonderful people and I know you will be happy together. -xox-
